Rosenberg honored in Social Impact category for work in assistive tech space
BALTIMORE, MD - ReBokeh Vision Technologies founder and CEO Rebecca Rosenberg has been named to the 2025 Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Social Impact category. The honor recognizes Rosenberg’s achievements and impact in the assistive technology and accessibility spaces as the leader of ReBokeh, an assistive tech company that creates solutions for people with low vision.
Since birth, Rosenberg has lived with low vision due to albinism, a rare genetic condition that affects the body’s ability to produce melanin. Having experienced the shortcomings of assistive technology for low vision in her formative years, Rosenberg founded ReBokeh in 2019 out of her dorm room at Bucknell University. Rosenberg developed ReBokeh with empowerment at its core, setting out to create a modern form of assistive technology that enabled low vision individuals to make better use of their functional vision, rather than replacing it through audio or tactile descriptions.
ReBokeh’s version 1 mobile application went live in June of 2022, after years of development with the low vision community. Within roughly one year of launch, ReBokeh picked up global traction, with users in 105 countries around the world. To date, hundreds of thousands of vision adjustments have been made using the app. This traction earned ReBokeh coverage from various high profile media outlets, including Forbes.
Currently, ReBokeh is partnering with organizations across the United States to make low vision accessibility a standard feature in public and private spaces. To date, ReBokeh has partnered with museums, co-working spaces, zoos, nature centers, nonprofit organizations, professional conferences, and more, offering free, unlimited, on-site access to ReBokeh’s software. Organizations who are interested in partnering with ReBokeh can reach out to partnerships@rebokeh.com, or can learn more by visiting ReBokeh’s website.
